Annually each September, San Vito Lo Capo opens its streets to the International Cous Cous Fest, a Festival of Cultural Integration. Chefs from around the globe set up shop in kiosks throughout the seaside town’s thoroughfares. I was surprised to taste Brazilian style couscous, Thai style couscous, Algerian style couscous, Moroccan style couscous, Israeli style couscous … (You get the idea!). It is truly an global festival, with a motto of “Make cous cous, not war.”

I’ll be going again this year leading Experience Sicily’s small-group, boutique Enchanting Sicily tour (We’ll visit the Fest on the evening of Day 2.). You should come too! It’s from September 24 to October 8, 2015, and it’s going to be a trip of a lifetime!
