Let’s make bread together!

In Sicily for Saint Joseph’s Day, or la Festa di San Giuseppe, as an act of prayer and thanksgiving, devotees to the patron saint of fathers, carpenters, and those who toil for work, spend days preparing beautifully crafted loaves for their March 19 feast day altars. Are you seeking protection or guidance or have reason to be thankful for success this past year? Looking forward to spring? Then creating loaves for Saint Joseph is a way to acknowledge all of the above. As we did at last year’s workshop, pictured, you’ll get your hands in the dough and enjoy an afternoon of socializing and creativity.
