Southern Secret #7: Learn How To Live To 100

By guest blogger Danielle Oteri of Feast on History

Cilento, the region tucked below the Amalfi Coast, is famous for the incredible longevity of its residents. The Mediterranean Diet orginated here, and scientists continue to study the many centenarians in the area to uncover their secrets. In the evening of Day 3 of Southern Secrets: Campania and Sicily’s Hidden Corners (June 29 – July 8, 2018), we’ll travel to the ancient coastal village of Agropoli, first the acropolis of Paestum and later, for two centuries, an Arab city. For dinner, we’ll dine at a pizzeria hidden beneath a staircase that only locals know about. Perhaps we’ll gain some insight into their “fountain of youth” lifestyle and obtain a few extra years ourselves.

Andiamo!

Get off the beaten path this summer with Allison of Experience Sicily and Danielle of Feast on History for a summer vacation in Italy that you couldn’t experience on your own. More at https://experiencesicily.com/southern-secrets/
