Local Flavor

This cake, or should we say, work of art!, is from Antica Dolceria dell’Etna in the town of Zafferana Etnea. This Sunday, in Zafferana Etnea, they are celebrating what we might call Octoberfest. They call it Ottobrata, and tomorrow, the fourth Sunday of the annual fall harvest festival, will focus on mushrooms. Right now, for example, porcini are especially in season.

We love making sure our clients, some of whom are in Zafferana Etnea this week, know about such local festivals. It gives your trip to Sicily even more local flavor.

Looking forward, I’d like to tell you more about our 2018 tours, traveling in Sicily, and how we can make your trip phenomenal. Join me this Wed., Oct. 25 at 7:30 to 8:30 PM EDT for a Facebook Live Question and Answer Session. Come over to our Experience Sicily Facebook page, where you can ask your questions through the comments or I’ll invite you for a face to face on the call. You can also email me questions in advance (to AllisonScola@ExperienceSicily.com), which I’ll address during the call.

Join me on Wednesday!
