Carnevale is upon us, which for observing Christians means it’s time to eat, drink, and be merry before Lent that begins on Wednesday. During ancient times, Lent marked the start of the planting season in agricultural societies. And “planting” means fertilization. What’s the Sicilian pastry that represents fertilization? Use your imagination, and yes, go there: Cannoli! Tomorrow, in New York City, we’ll be making cannoli at Cacio e Vino restaurant. You’ll learn fun facts such as this about the beloved pastry, get your hands in the dough, and more.

Take it from NY Newsday, who named our workshop as a thing to do this weekend! (https://www.newsday.com/travel/nyc-weekend-picks-our-best-bets-for-what-to-do-in-the-city-1.6813771)
