You’ll Want To Kiss A Fisherman

When traveling to Sicily, I ask that you challenge your ideas about fish. Fish in North America, and certainly the canned and frozen kind, are not like the fresh fish you find in the markets and in restaurants in Sicily. In fact, they have many different kinds of fish that we never see on our tables in the U.S. There is a lot beyond tuna and salmon! Shrimp caught just a couple of hours before you eat them are an entirely different experience. Fresh sardines are nothing like what you get out of a can. Then there is spigola and spatola and too many others to name! Challenge your pallet, and you might just want to give a fisherman a kiss once you’ve tasted the bounty you’ll discover in Sicily! Join us this September for Stirring Sicily, our food and wine experience, and you can taste for yourself!
