Sunday Lunch in Sicily

We currently have clients in Sicily, a mother and daughter celebrating mom’s 60th birthday (upper right). We designed a custom itinerary for them, with no detail spared. Meanwhile, I am living vicariously through them (like I do with all of our clients!) as they enjoy off-the-beaten-path, locally seasoned experiences. On Sunday, upon request, our partner, Smile & Food, (lower right), created a dreamy birthday lunch.

In an antique grist mill – museum (water-power generated), she organized and prepared a meal with typical, seasonal dishes of the province, and she invited her children and other family members along with Rosa, our other partner and expert, local guide, to all dine together. It made for a traditional Sicilian Sunday family meal and birthday party, all in one! At the end of the day, our mother and daughter were smiling ear to ear!

We 💛 love when our clients are delighted!

NB We’ll be spending a day with Alessia of Smile and Food during our September Stirring Sicily Hands-on Cooking Experience. Join us!
