An Introduction to the Wines of Mount Etna: An Interactive Tasting
of Sicily’s Volcanic Varietals

You are invited to a stimulating evening featuring a tasting of multiple wines from the Mount Etna region of Sicily paired with a selection of antipasti.

Boutique tour operator Experience Sicily and consultant and educator Etna Wine School will present a selection of rosé, white, and red wines from two premier Sicilian cantinas: Guido Coffa and Terra Costantino.

The evening will begin with a presentation about Mount Etna, her terrior, and her volcanic wines by Benjamin North Spencer, director of Etna Wine School and author of the award-winning book The New Wines of Mount Etna. Following a short question and answer session, guests will enjoy a “walk-around” tasting in WICC’s exhibit halls where you’ll encounter a wide selection of varietals from the Etna region paired with olives, cheeses, sundried tomatoes, bruschetta, and a selection of salami and prosciutto.

Wine aficionados and connoisseurs, foodies, travelers, Italophiles, and curious members of our community will love this unique evening hosted by WICC guests Allison Scola of Experience Sicily and Benjamin North Spencer of Etna Wine School.

There will be copies of The New Wines of Mount Etna for sale, which can be signed by the author.
