Leave The World Behind At Punta Bianca

The central southern coastline of Sicily offers a fascinating landscape punctuated by formations of white marlstone, La Scala dei Turchi being the most famous. Punta Bianca (pictured) is another such spot. Loved by locals, it is one of those secret places that takes one’s breath away. Its hard to reach location makes it even more special. My curiosity and desire to leave the world behind led me here one day. There’s magic in leaving the car on an unmarked road, sporting your hiking boots, and finding your own way.

(NB Marlstone is a hard-mud material that is a combination of calcium carbonate and lime mixed with other types of clay and silt.)
