Let’s bake bread together! Let’s celebrate spring’s arrival!

Saint Joseph’s Day is approaching, and I hope you’ll celebrate with me Sundays, March 10 and 24 at Cacio e Vino in New York City. The big feast is on Sunday, March 24 at 2PM. We’ll have a prix-fixe traditional menu, a presentation about traditions in southern Italy, live music, and a raffle.

On Sunday, March 10 at 2PM, in preparation for the feast, we’ll make ritual bread in honor of San Giuseppe, just like they do in Sicily. Bring your creativity and intentions for the patron of fathers, carpenters, and those who toil for their work (pictured here from the Cattedrale San Giovanni Battista in Ragusa).

The decorative loaves we make on March 10 will be displayed on our altar on March 24.
