La Dolce Vita University

Experience Sicily friend Carla Gambescia recently published a wonderful book, La Dolce Vita University: An Unconventional Guide to Italian Culture from A to Z. We love entries such as G for Greek Soul of Sicily and N for Norman Arab Sicily!

On Monday night, we enjoyed a fun evening of trivia in New York City at 83 1/2 Ristorante (owned by our Sicilian-American friends, Vincent and Dina Mangiafridda) with our MeetUp.com group, Sicily and Southern Italy Culture Circle, featuring facts and figures from Gambescia’s treatise. If you’re looking for an entertaining read and a great gift for the Italofile in your life, look no further. And remember B is for Barbells and Bikinis (the ones at Piazza Armerina) and W is for The Windmills of Sicily.
