Marge, The Mayor, and Her Cousin

Today, I cried when I received a text with the attached photo from our Experience Sicily clients traveling in Sicily. With help from our guides and friends of Val di Kam and Pattitour Viaggi, Marge (second from the left, who turned 84 years old last week), her daughters, and her son-in-law not only found information about her father in the remote town of Mussomeli, but they also met her uncle’s daughter and granddaughter–i.e. her first cousin, who she’d never met before, nor knew about!

News spread through town so quickly this morning, that Marge and family even had coffee with the mayor to celebrate, and then, the press core came to document the excitement!

I love this stuff!
