When I say Savoring Sicily, if you know me, you know I’m not just talking about communing with warmhearting locals; being immersed in Arab-Norman architecture and history; gasping at Serpotta’s stucco sculptures in Baroque meeting houses; participating in an annual ritual inspired by a patron saint; and joining in on a melodic, folk sing-along with my friend’s trio … No, no … if you know me well, of course, I’m also talking about food! That is, Sicily’s exquisite cuisine that is inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients from places such as North Africa, Greece, the Middle East, and the Italian peninsula.

So, on Day 2 of Savoring Sicily, we’ll take part in the International Cous Cous Festival in San Vito Lo Capo, where they say, “Make Cous Cous, Not War!” You know this is how you want to savor Sicily–one meal at a time! Contact me today at AllisonScola@ExperienceSicily.com to secure your place at the table on this small-group, boutique tour from September 22-October 4, 2016.
