After a day of touring Scopello’s picturesque tuna fishery, Segesta’s ancient temple and theater, Erice’s romantic alleyways, and Trapani’s salt flats, we ventured to San Vito Lo Capo for its annual multi-cultural food and music festival. Couscous in Sicily?! Why, yes! Note Bene, Tunisia isn’t so far away by boat. It’s closer than Rome! So, couscous has been a staple of western Sicilian cuisine for centuries.
