Our final day consisted of waking early in the morning for departure. So early that the jasmine flowers that release their sweet scent after sundown were still strongly aromatic. This is a blooming caper flower. So, if the bud is picked before the flower blooms, that’s what is preserved and eaten with fish and vegetables.
