Hiking In Sicily Takes My Breath Away

Yesterday with naturalistic guide Nanni Di Falco and the Italian hiking organization Compagnia dei Cammini, I traversed more than 12 miles of stupendous landscape in Trapani province on foot (Yes, I’m on the move!). In the distance of this photo are Scopello and the Tyrrhenian Sea coastline leading to Lo Zingaro Nature Preserve. We hiked from Segesta to Castellammare del Golfo. I loved every minute of it. Hiking in Sicily is a priceless gift. It takes my breath away every time… And I’m not talking about the heights we traversed.

Grazie Nanni, per questa bellissima giornata.

  1. Segesta is one of my favorite places to stay. Wonderful lodgings and food made in the Trapanese style.
