Ciao from Stunning Sicily, Day 1!

We met up today in Taormina, where we are staying at a hip hotel with balconies perched over the Ionian Sea. The clouds parted to show us Etna’s silhouette as the sun set behind her. Then, dinner in the home of Taormina locals from Siculishh, Donatella and Gabriele, who presented a wonderful food and wine pairing “Tour of Sicily” of sorts. Donatella is an outstanding chef, while her son Gabriele is an earnest and insightful sommelier. An evening of engaging conversation and artful cuisine!

It feels great to be back doing the work I love!
