Then And Now In Licodia Eubea, Sicily

Today I was at the Brooklyn “Club” of the brotherhood of New Yorkers from Licodia Eubea, Sicily in Catania province. My contact, author Natale Caruso, showed me old photos of the town. And well, I have a matching one I took from the castle in May this year to one he had from the 1920s! Check out the differences! Natale has written a memoir about his youth in Licodia Eubea, and we’re organizing an event for him to share his stories (stay tuned for that).

Meanwhile, I am hosting a beyond-the-ordinary tour, based in Licodia Eubea, July 11-23, 2019. We’ll stay in holiday apartments and family-run inns and have opportunities to commune with the locals and participate in the feast for their patroness, Santa Margherita. Life in a Remote Sicilian Town offers curious travelers, families, and those who have already been to Sicily something off the beaten path, alongside visits many of Sicily’s UNESCO Heritage Sites. All you have to do is pack, and we’ll take care of the details.
