Splendid Sicily

Relish Sicily’s culture, history, and cuisine through the divine feminine

Sunday, August 27, 2017 – Monday, September 4, 2017 (9 days/8 nights)

Experience Sicily in cooperation with University of Rochester Metro New York Women presents Splendid Sicily!  During our adventure, we’ll discover off-the-beaten path towns, interact with locals, immerse ourselves in Sicilian culture and history, explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento and Palermo’s Arab-Norman gems, and the enchanting towns of Erice, Salemi, and Scopello.  We’ll stay at a characteristic inn on the Tyrrhenian Sea and relish long meals in traditional trattorias.  This experiential tour, with an accent on the divine feminine (Sicily’s goddesses, saints, queens, and rebels), is designed for a traveler who wants to savor every minute with a cooking class, olive orchard and vineyard tour, a live music performance, intellectual discussions about Sicily’s past, present, and future, and so much more!

The total cost per person for 9 days/8 nights is $3,600* for double occupancy**

Price includes airport transfers, all accommodations, transportation by air-conditioned coach bus, all but three meals (see day-by-day descriptions for details), excursions with English speaking guides.  Price does not include airfare or travel insurance.
