Today we felt the wind in our hair and the sun on our faces as we glided on a boat on the Tyrrhenian Sea along the coast of the Lo Zingaro (The Gypsy) nature preserve. It was cooler than usual for this time of year, but that didn’t stop us from swimming in the coves and reveling in the clear blue sea during our half-day excursion.
Ah! Cold water swimming! Exhilarating!
Somewhat cold, yes! I mean, it wasn’t much colder than the Atlantic over Labor Day weekend here, in New Jersey. So, if you are used to it being cold, you could handle it.
