Meanwhile on Allison’s Secret Sicily tour earlier this month…  during our visit to Trapani’s Salt Museum and the region’s salt pans, we learned how arduous collecting salt is and about the many ups and downs of the economics of the industry over the centuries. It is a fascinating history and a beautiful site to see. Certainly makes me appreciate seasoning my pasta even more!
