  2. Is that a building on top of the big rock/cliff? Wow. The blues in the sky and the sea are so beautiful and then with the yellowed grass in the foreground – it looks like a lovely watercolor painting!

    1. Yes, it’s a tower Dana! It was built during Spanish times, and is part of a system of coastal towers used to watch for pirates and other invaders. Now we have satellites. Back then, they had eyes and ears and used mirrors and falcons to communicate between the towers. Scopello is truly breathtaking!
